Throwback ThursdayPosted: October 27, 2011
TGIT everyone! I thought I would start a little series on this blog “throwback thursday’s” because there are so many things I want to share with you that happened before I started this blog, so I figured this would be a good way to do so!
But anyways first we have to start with my breakfast because it was OIAJ!!!
But not just any oats in a jar, overnight banana oats with LOTS of pumpkin pecan butter on top!
Peanut Butter and Company Peanut butter I’m convinced is laced with crack..its just SO DARN GOOD
I got this jar of pumpkin butter when I went Apple Picking..it kind of tastes like heaven
The first throwback thursday post is about Musical Theater!
My entire life up until pretty much last year was spent singing, dancing, and doing musical theater. I don’t like to say that I “gave up” on following path in musical theater, but I decided it wasn’t something that I wanted to pursue as a career in the long run. When deciding between colleges, the options were to either A. Go to the University of New Hampshire and major in Musical Theater, or B. Go to the University of Delaware and start out as a University Studies major..I ended up choosing B, however now I’ve declard my major to HRIM-Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management (which I LOVE)
I have been in a LOT of musicals..and when I say a lot I mean at least 12 different shows. Some of my favorites include Grease (my brother was Kenickie!), 42nd Street, Ragtime, Les Miserables, and Hot Mikado.
I get asked from time to time if I miss singing and performing, and the truth is I do miss it, but not as much as I thought I would. I joined a dance team at Delaware, and get a lot of opportunities to perform with my sorority. I am truly happy in Delaware. There is always the “what if I went to UNH, would I be just as happy?” but I definitely asked myself this question a lot more last year than this year.
But anways I just thought I would share some old videos with you..one being from the musical Hot Mikado, and another being from my senior year spring concert!
(side note in Broadway Baby I messed up the words..even though I had been singing this same song for like 3 years..so I hope its not too noticeable:)
