Blueberry Muffins and a Workout

Hi everyone!

So this morning I woke up at 7am..don’t ask me why..maybe because I went to bed at 10? embarassing I know..

Anywhoooo this morning started out with a trip to the park with my mom and her friend

We ran a 2.5 mile loop then refueled with ice coffee!

Yes it was 40 degrees out this morning and I still got an ice coffee..I just can’t resist!

Then my mom and I took a trip to the Farmers Market, last one of the season!

The cherry tomatoes looked amazing!

mmm what are these?! tennis balls?!

Then I came home and made my brother some Blueberry Muffins!

I used this Mama Pea recipe, and just substituted the non-dairy milk for regular milk

They are awesome! I ate one straight out of the oven, and my brother scarfed down 2 and told me they were the best muffins he’s ever had:) success!

After the muffin I went down to the basement to lift some weights, completing this circuit style workout

I went through each superset twice before completing the cardio blast

Superset 1

Move Rep Total Weight
Plie Squat to Up Right Row 12 20
Lunge with Bicep Curl 10 (on each side) 20

Cardio Blast: 50 jumping jacks

Superset 2:

Move Rep Total Weight
Squat with overhead press 12 20
Side raise 10 10

Cardio Blast: Ski jumps, 30 total

Superset 3:

Move Rep Total Weight
Reverse Fly 12 20
Overhead Tricep Extension 12 15

Cardio Blast: Frog Jumps 30 total

Superset 4:

Move Rep Total Weight
Chest Fly on exercise ball 12 30
Leg extensions 12 Body weight

Various Ab exercises + 25 push ups

This whole workout took about 35 minutes, short and sweet, just how I like it!

After I showered, I put together an outfit from clothes I actually left at home

The sweater is from Urban Outfitters, the pants I got on sale at J Crew, and the boots are from Nordstroms

I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing for the remainder of today, but I know I’m having dinner in Boston tonight at one of my favorite restaurants with the family..nom nom can’t wait!

  1. Chelcie, I just found your blog and I love it! I’m a college foodie too, and we both have the same kind of dog! My little cavalier is named Lady! Your dog, Lucy, is adorable!
