Posted: April 4, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 16 CommentsHi friends!
Happy hump day!
wait but seriously how is it only Wednesday..
the month of April is focused on loading up on extra veggies! Head on over to Peas and Crayons to check out the other awesome WIAW posts!
Breakfast
oh hey look something green!
Normally I don’t crave a smoothie for breakfast but yesterday morning I woke up with a little bit of a sore throat (random cause i feel fine now) so smoothie it was!
I made my normal Green Monster and topped the smoothie with a few pb cheerios
I’ve decided i don’t really like something crunchy on the top of my smoothies..oh well next time I’ll leave out the cheerios..it was still delicious though! and no brain freeze occured..go me!
Snack attack
Yesterday while procrastinating I made a batch of nutty granola
so me picking at this granola for a long time before I finally had the self control to put it away (so addicting gahh!) turned into my snack/part of my lunch
Lunch
I didn’t have lunch till around 3pm because i was still so full from all the granola!
And I kept lunch a bit on the lighter side
In a bowl i mixed together some greens, cottage cheese, turkey, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar..such a good combo! And whatever brand of turkey we picked up this week at the store is SO yummy!
i also had an apple alongside
mmm juicy
the apple was followed by a few of these
have you tried these yet?! if you haven’t you must go pick up a bag..they are SO yummy! And the nutrition stats are really good!
Dinner
Mexican Night!
I could seriously could eat this for dinner every single night
I made the usual mexican night components which included crock pot chicken, sauteed peppers and onions, guac and black beans
nom nom nom
oh and to cleanse my palate I had one of these little nuggets
mini pb reeses eggs…SO good. It is hard to only have just one!
As I was sitting at the kitchen table talking to Molly about how we don’t really crave things like oreo cookies (we have randomly had them sitting in our pantry for a while now) I all the sudden got the BIGGEST craving for one..go figure right?
So I brought out the little kid in me and had a oreo cookie dipped in chocolate almond milk
HOLY MOLY
this is a great combo..chocolate almond milk is amazing..I could even of just straight up chugged the milk without the oreo..but it was a delicious treat
I just wrote this whole post so I could procrastinate studying AGAIN..even though I did that all day today
I have serious issues
lata alagatasss
remember when that was cool to say?..no it was definitely never cool I just like rhyming
k i’ll stop
have a great day!

granola is one of those things that can easily get out of control! i do that all the time especially when i make my own. but you did a super job of balancing it out with a light salad!
