WIAW-Double the Protein

Happy Hump Day!

Thanks again to Peas and Crayons for hosting yet another WIAW!

Breakfast

are you ready for the most filling breakfast combo EVER?!

I had this yogurt bowl combo in my Chobani Plain Yogurt container

in the mix

  • 1 cup plain chobani
  • 1 sliced banana
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin butter
  • a sprinkle of this granola

You know what I realized today? Plain Chobani has almost TWICE the protein of the flavored chobani’s! For one cup you get a whopping 23g of protein/serving for the same amount of calories as the flavored chobani’s!

that is cra cra people!

Whats also crazy is the fact that I was full from this breakfast for a solid 5+ hours

that never happens to me btw..

I always joke that I’m like a toddler and need to be fed every few hours otherwise I get cranky..

I wish I was kidding about the crankiness..

moving on

Lunch

I made myself an egg white omelet (or my attempt at making an omelet) with sauteed spinach, cherry tomatoes, and honey goat cheese from trader joes..(you MUST go get some asap its the most amazing stuff EVER)

Alongside i had half a baked sweet potato with hummus and more of the honey goat cheese on top!

Snack

I was pretty bored yesterday so I decided I was going to make some no-bake granola bars

well they didn’t exactly turn out as planned

It taste more like a cookie dough cold cereal..I’m debating on whether or not I should still share the recipe with you

but I had a few bites for my snack and it is still quite tasty!

Workout

it was SO nice out yesterday..so due to the nice weather I decided to go for a quick 2 mile run outside on my way to the gym

then I took a muscle pump class

i am going to be SO sore tomorrow..

Dinner

when I got back from the gym I decided to make myself a smoothie because that’s all that sounded good at the time

in the mix

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • dash of ground cinnamon

this hit the spot!

We just went to the grocery store and I just snacked on some fruit that we bought

I weirdly like the taste of pre-cut fruit from the grocery store..

i’m still feeling kind of hungry so I’m not sure what else I’m going to have for a snack..possibly either some popcorn or trader joes pb filled pretzels..mm yum!

Ps in case your wondering..these WIAW posts are never EVERYTHING I consume in the day..I try to document as much as possible but I’m such a picker when it comes to eating..like every time I go in the fridge i’ll grab a couple grapes straight out of the bag

stuff like that

so yes its the majority of what I ate that day..but not everything I ate

just in case anyone was curious!

Welp I’m off to go take a Stat exam!

Question for ya!: What was the best thing you’ve eaten recently?

hmm mine was probably my breakfast! the combo of greek yogurt with almond butter and pumpkin butter is just TOO good!

  3. Same here! I always grab stuff or snack throughout the day. I LOVE the plain chobani and adding my own fruit. So yummy and definitely a lot more protein!
